This is the total eclipse of the Moon, December 10, 2011, taken from the grounds of the Rothney Astrophysical Observatory, near Priddis Alberta, and looking west to the Rockies. This is an 8 second exposure at ISO 800 with the Canon 5DMkII and Sigma 50mm lens at f/2.8. This was taken about midway through of totality, at 7:28 am local time.
