A 5-segment panorama of the evening sky, March 4, 2012, with four planets across the sky, from (right to left, west to east): Mercury (in bright twilight), then Venus and Jupiter (bright in southwest) then the Moon (in clouds in the southeast) then Mars rising in the east just to the left of the clouds. Mercury was near greatest eastern elongation (March 5) and Mars was near opposition (March 3). Each segment is a 13-second exposure at f/4 and ISO 400 with the 16-35mm lens at 19mm and Canon 5D MkII. Taken from near home in southern Alberta.
