Aurora over Highway 1, the Trans-Canada Highway, west of Brooks, Alberta, on Sept 30, 2012. This is looking north to the Big Dipper. This is a composite of two 10-second exposures at ISO 400 with the Canon 7D and 24mm lens at f/2.8. A second exposure layered in adds in additional trails from the tailights, but the sky is from a sinngle exposure.
