A view of the Cook River and estuary at Cooktown, Queensland, Australia, the site where James Cook beached the Enedeavour in July and August of 1770 on his transit of Venus voyage. This is taken from Lookout Hill, that Cook used to scan the ocean for reefs and safe passages out.
