The gibbous Moon in evening twilight over Spain enroute from Frankfurt to Madrid on October 16, 2013. The dark blue band above the horizon (thicker at left) is the shadow of the Earth on the atmosphere, here seen very distinctly from high altitude as the plane was descending to Madrid. The sky above the shadow band shows a nice range of twilight colours. Taken with an iPhone.
