The penumbral eclipse of the Moon, Octobe 18/19, 2013, as seen from Malaga, Spain, taken at near mid-eclipse just before 1 a.m. local time. Taken with the 18-200mm zoom at 200mm, so the image scale was small and the original image is cropped here. There is a subtle darkening toward the bottom limb of the Moon, and this shows up only as a result of increasing contrast and clarity considerably in processing.
