The waxing crescent Moon near Venus on March 22, 2015, over the pond at the Inn of the Mountain Gods, near Ruidoso, New Mexico. The sky was getting quite dark at this point and some light clouds drifted in front of the Moon and Venus, throwing glows around them.
This is a composite of two exposures: a long 13-second exposure for the main scene and a shorter 3 second exposure for just the Moon and Venus to prevent them from getting too overexposed. Both with the 24mm lens and Canon 60Da.
