This is looking north toward the Big Dipper and Polaris with the lodge in the foreground and Mt Jimmy Simpson, named for the lodge’s builder, at left. This is a single frame from a series of 260 frames taken over 3.5 hours for a time-lapse sequence. This is 50 seconds at f/4 and ISO 1250 with the Canon 5D MkII and 16-35mm lens at 16mm. A faint red aurora is visible at right.
