The occultation of Venus in daylight by the waning crescent Moon, August 13, 2012. Taken with the 130mm Astro-Physics refractor and 2X Barlow for f/12 and focal length of 1600mm, and Canon 7D camera at ISO 400, metered exposure 1/400 sec. This is a composite of 6 images taken seconds apart. The Moon moved from right to left (west to east) in the sky to cover Venus. The sky was hazy with thin cloud moving through, thus the frame to frame variation in image density.
