The aurora on the night of February 20, 2015 from Churchill Manitoba from the Churchill Northern Studies Centre. Participants in the Learning Vacations group enjoy the view and taking photos from the relative shelter of the second floor observing Deck. The temperature was -32° C with a windchill of -50 or so. The aurora brightened about 9:30 pm local time for a while then faded into dim arcs and patchiness by 11 pm. Everyone had a good time shooting selfies with the aurora as a background. I shot with the Canon 6D and 24mm lens, at exposures from 8 to 15 seconds at f/2.8 and ISO 3200 to 4000.
