Venus, Jupiter & Moon, August 12, 2012

The waning crescent Moon (overexposed at centre) between Venus (below) and Jupiter (above) in the pre-dawn sky on the morning of Sunday, August 12, 2012. Jupiter is near Aldebaran and the Hyades. Orion is just rising over the mountains at right. Taken from the Minnewanka Loop road in Banff, with the Canon 5D MkII and 24mm lens for 30 seconds at f/4 and ISO 800.
