Mt Edith Cavell by Starlight

Mt Edith Cavell in Jasper National Park, illuminated by starlight and indirect moonlight – the waxing gibbous Moon was behind the massive mountain (we are looking at its north face), but its light was still brightening the sky and foreground though it was in the shadow of the direct moonlight. The stars are the area of the Summer Triangle (Vega is at top) and the summer Milky Way.

This is a single exposure taken Sept 5, 2014 with the Canon 6D at ISO 2000 and 15mm full-frame fish-eye lens at f/2.8 for 45 seconds.
