The waxing crescent Moon over Vermilion Lakes, Banff, Alberta, on August 4, 2011. This is an HDR stack of 5 exposures at 2/3rds stop intervals to capture the dark foreground detail and the bright Moon on one image. Lights from passing traffic on Highway 1 above the lakes produced the streak at right.
